A summer camp for Suzuki students of all ages and levels, as well as advanced traditional students. The Summer Camp is a week-long opportunity for Suzuki music students, their families, teachers and faculty to be a part of concentrated study that compliments the work that goes on in studios and homes throughout the year. Lessons and classes are given for violin, viola and cello, including classes for the Twinkle and PreTwinkle students. Repertoire classes, ensembles, play-ins, student and faculty performances, are all part of the Summer Institute experience. Musicianship classes develop music literacy, and the string orchestras and ensembles further develop musical abilities. Enrichment classes offered, such as Jazz improv, Rock Styles, and Fiddle, round out the week. Social activities and events build friendships between young musicians, families, and music educators from around the country, and even the world.
