Course Description
Over the last several years, as the benefits of exercise have been widely acknowledged, there has been a dramatic increase in participation in sports and fitness-related activities by all age groups.  This increase in sports and fitness-related participation has lead to an increasing number of musculoskeletal injuries to these higher level recreational and aspiring athletes.  The goal of this eight-day seminar series is to accelerate the mastery of advanced skills for managing this growing athletic population, from the novice to the elite athlete.  This seminar series will build upon the fundamentals of orthopaedic physical therapy, clinical reasoning, manual therapy, and movement science, and integrate these fundamentals with training in sport specific examination and rehabilitation.  This seminar series is a component of the didactic curriculum for clinical residency and fellowship programs but is open also to participants who wish to take the series for continuing professional education.  This seminar series can assist individuals in preparation for the SCS exam.
