340 Proposed Rule Public Meetings

340 Proposed Rule Public Meetings

USDA APHIS' Biotechnology Regulatory Services (BRS)’ APHIS will hold three public meetings to gather comments on the recently published Proposed Rule for Importation, Interstate Movement, and Environmental Release of Certain Genetically Engineered Organisms, which is a revision of its regulations 7 CFR part 340. APHIS published the proposed rule on January 19, 2017, and is accepting public comments through June 19, 2017.

The purpose of the meetings is solely to receive comments, and not to discuss or debate the content of the Proposed Rule.  We want and need your input before we make any decisions on whether or how to go forward with this Proposed Rule.
