HEFMA 2017 Conference

The Higher Education Facilities Management Association of Southern Africa (HEFMA) is an independent association of facilities managers operating in the higher education sector in the Southern African region by promoting excellence in the planning, construction, maintenance, operations and administration of educational facilities.

As part of HEFMA's services to its members, an annual conference is presented.

The 
University of Pretoria’s Department of Facilities Management (UPFM) is the host of the 2017 annual HEFMA conference. UPFM is a multi-disciplinary department which has been positioned to coordinate all estate and facility related services at the University of Pretoria and to provide these services at the strategic, tactical and operational levels to the entire university community. In performing its task the Department of Facilities Management integrates the needs for facilities, services and infrastructure into a single, comprehensive facilities master plan to support the UP 2025 strategic plan which states that spatial infrastructure and physical facilities are central to providing the environment within which students and staff can excel to achieve the University’s academic mission.

ACCOMMODATION
There are various hotels and guest houses within walking distance of the main campus of UP. Please see the "Venue" page under "Accommodation" for more detail.

Please note:
Delegates have to book and pay their accommodation directly with the hotels or guest houses.

CONFERENCE FEES
All fees will be charged in South African Rand (ZAR). Payments can be made by means of direct deposit into the conference account, or by credit card (Visa, MasterCard or American Express).

The conference fees includes admittance to all sessions, all conference material  refreshments during the conference breaks, lunches as well as all functions as per registration type, daily shuttles from specified hotels, campus tours and transport to functions.

Function fees for accompanying people:
Welcoming function (Monday 16 October)            R 250.00
Spitbraai (Tuesday 17 October 2017)                      R 300.00
Freedom Park (Wednesday 18 October)                 R 250.00
Conference dinner (Thursday 19 October)             R 500.00

CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellation of registration after payment has been made will be subject to the following rules:
Cancellation before 31 July 2017: 50% of fees paid will be forfeited
Cancellation after 31 July 2017: 100% of fees paid will be forfeited

Cancellations should be done in writing to the conference organiser, Thereza Botha




Includes admittance to all sessions, all conference material including the Book of Abstracts, refreshments during the conference breaks, lunches, the welcoming function and conference dinner, the industry visits (only a limited number of seats per visit available)
