 Taste of Kivvun Retreat
"Acting from Love in Challenging Times"

A wonderfully rich study and practice retreat of the Institute for Jewish Spirituality. This is an opportunity for Kivvun alumni to reconnect and practice together, and for those interested in the Kivvun program to get a taste of Kivvun!

We will focus on cultivating the capacity for acting lovingly in the world through meditation, prayer, mindful middot work and study. Our Scholar in Residence, Rabbi Sheila Peltz Weinberg, will be sharing teachings from her new book, God Loves the Stranger.

We will share shabbat together in song, prayer and learning with our Institute faculty and our prayer leader, Rabbi Miriam Margles.

Faculty:
The retreat will be led by Institute faculty members Rabbi Lisa Goldstein, Rabbi Marc Margolius and Rabbi Jonathan Slater.
Our scholar-in-residence will be Rabbi Sheila Peltz Weinberg, and our prayer leader will be Rabbi Miriam Margles.

Timing:
The retreat will begin with registration and a welcome reception in the late afternoon on Wednesday, November 8th. The retreat will conclude late morning on Sunday, November 12th.
More detailed timing information will be sent to participants closer to the retreat.
