This course is a comprehensive two-day, hands-on workshop incorporating a variety of learning formats, including didactic, hands-on surgical skills and case presentations. Instruction from Dr. David Kline, a world leader in peripheral nerve research, training and patient care, along with LSU and invited world-class faculty, provide a unique opportunity for neurosurgeons to guide your learning and enhance your surgical skills.

Course Objectives:

Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to: 
  • Identify relevant anatomy for peripheral nerve surgery
  • Understand surgical indications and techniques for the anterior and posterior approaches to the brachial plexus
  • Describe surgical approaches to peripheral nerves of the upper and lower extremities
  • Select treatment plans for patients based on incorporation of new knowledge of surgical approaches  
Attire: Business attire for didactic session of the course and scrubs for the laboratory.
