CU Sports Medicine and Performance Center Women's Health Programs

Target Audience:
This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Athletic Trainers, Psychologists, Sports Dietitians and anyone else interested in understanding a holistic approach to providing proper care for the woman in sports medicine. This conference will highlight each season in a woman's life, from adolescence to geriatrics and everything in between. 

Registration Rates:
  • MD/DO: $150
  • Non-Physicians (NP, PA, PT, OT, etc): $100
  • Athletic Trainers: $75
  • Students, Residents, Fellows: $50
    • Registration fees include breakfast, lunch, parking, and all conference materials, including a CME and CEU certificate.
    • Onsite registration will be an additional $25 beginning at 12AM 2/24/18 - register online early!

Educational Objectives: As a result of this activity, the participant should be better able to:
  • Identify pediatric overuse diagnoses and ways to treat them
  • Identify lines of service in management of pediatric concussion
  • Identify and treat complex physical and psychological aspects facing today's pediatric sports population
  • Identify pregnancy-related musculoskeletal pathologies and options to treat them
  • Identify and treat postpartum depression, pelvic floor insufficiency, pelvic and low back pain with rehab, exercise, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Understand how to incorporate and implement the idea of Exercise is Medicine into your practice in all stages of a woman's life
This activity is jointly provided by Medical Education Resources and CU Sports Medicine.

Physician Credit: This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of Medical Education Resources (MER) and CU Sports Medicine. MER is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. 

Credit Designation: Medical Education Resources designates this live activity for a maximum of 7.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Athletic Trainer Credit: University of Colorado Sports Medicine (BOC AP# P3598) is approved by the Board of Certification, Inc. to provide continuing education to Athletic Trainers. This program is eligible for a maximum of 7.5 EBP Category hours/CEUs. ATs should claim only those hours actually spent in the educational program.

Physical Therapist Credit: Physical Therapists will receive a participation certificate with 7.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™

Occupational Therapist Credit: Occupational Therapists will receive a participation certificate with 7.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™

American Academy of Physician Assistants Credit: AAPA accepts certificates of participation for educational activities certified form Category 1 credit from AOACCME, Prescribed Credit from AAFP, and AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ from organizations accredited by the ACCME or recognized state medical society. Physician assistants may receive a maximum of 7.5 hours of Category 1 credit for completing this program.

Nursing Credit: Medical Education Resources is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. This CE activity provides 7.5 contact hours of continuing nursing education. Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number 12299, for 7.5 contact hours.
