New Mexico’s main airport, Albuquerque International Sunport, is approximately 15 minutes from the Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town. The main airlines serving the airport are Southwest, American, Delta, and United.

Most major car rental companies provide service in the city, including Uber, Enterprise, Advantage, Avis, Budget, Hertz, National, Alamo, Dollar and many others. Albuquerque is unfortunately under-served by public transportation, so we do recommend you plan to take taxi or Uber, or reserve a spot on a shuttle or rent a car for your visit.

If you are driving from the airport, take I-25 North and I-40 West to Rio Grande Blvd, and head south. Hotel Albuquerque is on the east side of Rio Grande Blvd. There is ample, free parking at the hotel.

CFV Solar will offer tours of our lab on Monday, April 30th at 4:00 pm and Thursday, May 3rd at 9:00 am. The tour will take approximately one hour. Participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from the lab. You will have the option of requesting a spot on one of the tours in the registration form that follows. As space is limited, however, confirmation of your spot on the tour of your choice will come via a separate email from CFV Solar.

Central New Mexico is known for its natural beauty and rich culture. There are plenty of shops and restaurants to explore in the walkable Historic Old Town Plaza., as well as the Albuquerque Museum (art and history) and the New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science.

Within a short drive are Historic Nob Hill, Albuquerque Biopark, Open Space Visitor Center, Petroglyph National Monument, Sandia Mountain trails and Sandia Peak Tramway.

There are also a large number of fun day trips, such as El Rancho de las Golondrinas, Hot Springs in T or C, Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks National Monument, Salinas Pueblo Missions National Monument (pueblo ruins), Sky City Cultural Center (Acoma Pueblo), Tinkertown Museum, Turquoise Trail to Santa Fe or the Very Large Array. You can also make your way to the downtown Rail Runner station where you can take the train to arrive in Santa Fe in about an hour.
