  • Best Practices in Budgeting and Fiscal Policy –This session, using examples, focuses on the implementation of over 35 GFOA best practices in budgeting.
  • Budgeting for Results and Outcomes:  The results based budget approach continues to grow in popularity across the country.  The focus of this method is to illustrate the intended benefits of government expenditures to the community being served.  As a result, it enables performance measurement to be part of the budget foundation.  The resulting conversations with policymakers and the community can be fundamentally different.  This session will review the benefits and provide insights into how to move your budget process toward more toward a focus on community outcomes.
  • Leadership for Finance Officers: To build financially resilient organizations and communities, finance officers need to develop and use leadership skills.  This course will review skills necessary to successfully lead in volatile and uncertain times.
