2018 PACE Global Annual Forum: "Personal Urban Mobility Access Competition"

The 2018 PACE Global Annual Forum "Personal Urban Mobility Access Competition” is co-hosted by GM North America Engineering and Siemens PLM Software. 


The Traveler's Guide provides information about hotels, transportation, itinerary, pre-conference training, and tour options.  Highlights of this year's PACE Annual Forum include:

  • PRE-Conference Software Training Sessions - Monday July 16 through Friday July 20.  Training sessions will be held at Wayne State University. 
  • Welcome Reception - Sunday, July 22. The welcome reception will be at the GM Heritage Center at 5:30 pm. Transportation will be provided.
  • PACE Personal Urban Mobility Access (PUMA) Project Competition - Monday, July 23.  Opening session begins at 8:00 a.m. with keynotes by Jim Danahy, Executive Director, Global Functional Leader, Chassis Engineering. 
  • PACE Personal Urban Mobility Access (PUMA)) Competition - Tuesday, July 24. Morning session begins at 8:00 a.m.     
  • PACE Partner & Contributor Day - Tuesday, July 24.  Session begins at 2:00 p.m.
  • PACE Cultural Day and Awards Dinner- Wednesday, July 25.  GM Tech Center and Detroit City Tours available.  The awards dinner will be at the Henry Ford Museum at 5:30 pm and will feature the announcement of the winners of the PUMA competition.

The PACE Global Annual Forum enables the faculty, staff, and students from all 65 PACE Institutions around the world to collaborate and network with each other and with the PACE Partner, Contributor, and Supporter companies.  This global annual meeting focuses on topics of interest to the PACE community, such as the global PACE Projects, inter- and intra-university collaborative activities, PLM activities specific to PACE, initiatives specific to PACE software, related products and issues in industry, and curriculum development and integration.  In addition to fostering discussions and collaboration between industry and academia, the Forum also sponsors cultural activities that serve to promote awareness of the local culture.  Conference attendance is limited to the PACE Institutions and PACE Industry Partners.
