Keynote Presentation

With a Little Help from Our Friends
Collaboration is a powerful source of growth, creativity, and satisfaction. We see the most successful research built from successful collaborations and partnerships, and our own successful collaborations can mean success at work and in our own lives.  Many of us have made lifelong friends, and we have built careers on the strength of our networks.

Our own experience has been that in finding a collaborator and partner, everything changed. Everything. We benefit from career-long views, and while our own journey is pretty unique and we are an extreme example of a collaboration, there is a story to tell here about professional discovery, personal and professional successes (and failures), the importance of knowledge building and risk taking, self-reliance, forgiveness, and trust.

Ultimately we want to convey the importance of people in this profession that is so driven by rules and regulations.  We will talk about the pathway to successful collaboration through storytelling, audience interaction, anecdotes, and digressions that will include music and laughter throughout.
