New European Union General Data Protection Regulations Seminar
Wednesday, March 21, 2018 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM

Do you have customers, clients or employees in Europe? Are you interested in selling to customers in Europe in the future? If the answer to either of these questions is yes, join us and learn about how the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) may impact your business when it comes into force on May, 2018. Failure to comply with the GDPR could result in stiff fines as high as 4% of your company’s annual revenue.

This program will describe the main elements of a proper compliance protocol and the steps needed to achieve it. Registration under the bilateral Privacy Shield accord (replacing the earlier Safe Harbor agreement) can meet some of the compliance obligations, but additional affirmative steps will be needed for full compliance.

The GDPR applies to all U.S. companies across all sectors and services doing business in the EU. If you process personal data in any form from Europe, you will be impacted. Failure to comply may result in fines up to $22 million.

Learn from the experts:

  • Elements of proper compliance protocol; the steps to achieve it.
  • How to register under the bi-lateral Privacy Shield accord.
  • Additional steps needed for full compliance.
  • How to create your company’s compliance program.
