    Overview of the Conference
All Virginia Master Naturalist volunteers are invited to join us at the Fredericksburg Expo and Conference Center in Fredericksburg, Virginia for our 9th Virginia Master Naturalist Statewide Volunteer Conference and Training. This year's conference will be hosted by the Central Rappahannock chapter.

This event is an opportunity for VMN volunteers to share ideas and learn from each other, to participate in high-quality continuing education sessions, and to learn about a region of Virginia that may be different from their home communities. It's a time and place to recognize and reward volunteers and chapters for all their efforts.

Our chapter hosts have done a wonderful job of choosing programming they think you will enjoy. We will have many and varied concurrent sessions on Saturday and Sunday. There will also be opportunities for pre-conference field trips on Friday and field trips on both Saturday and Sunday as part of the conference. Please note that if you choose to participate in a field trip, it may limit the number of concurrent sessions you can attend and carpooling and/or an additional fee may be required. Please see the Agenda tab of this website for more details.

Conference lodging will be at the hotels listed on the Lodging tab. Please see the Lodging tab of this website for details on how to make a reservation.

    Who Can Attend
    • Enrolled VMN Volunteers, with trainee, member, or certified status.
    • VMN Chapter Advisors, Steering and Executive Committee members
    • Due to space limitations, we cannot accommodate spouses/guests who are not enrolled VMN volunteers or members of one of the categories listed above.
    Registration Types and Fees
Participants may choose whether they want to participate in the Full Conference or Saturday Training only. VMN conference fees fluctuate from year to year due to changes in our conference location and the price of food, etc. To try and keep registration costs as low as possible, we have subsidized conference expenses with program funds provided by our sponsoring agencies and by generous individual donors.

Please note that none of the following registration fees include breakfast, but both conference hotels include a hot breakfast.
