Ji-Ryu–Frederic Lecut will be teaching Chi Gong, mindfulness and breathing techniques for Zen Practice at the Atlanta Soto Zen Center April 21 starting at 9AM.

Ji-Ryu–Frederic Lecut's teaching will be based on a few Buddhist and Taoist texts and on personal research,experimentation and practice with his students.

The course will cover
  • Chi, (Ki in Japanese); what it is, its use for Zen practice.
  • Mindfulness and Breathing techniques in Zen practice, on and off the cushion.
  • Demonstration and practice of several Breathing exercises and Chi Gong routines. (Chi circulation, Abdominal breathing, Tibetan Yoga)

   Ji-Ryu–Frederic Lecut holds grades and teaching licenses in several Martial Arts.

Ji-Ryu began learning in 1969 and began teaching in 1989. In the mid 80’s he started to develop interest in breathing techniques and meditation. He researched and experimented by himself, reading and applying what was read. In the mid 2000’s he met EllistonRoshi and started to train under him. A few years ago he built a small practice hall, the Mokurai Dojo, behind his home in Headland, Alabama where hepractices daily and on Saturday night sits with the local sangha.
