The Yoga Calm Adult Instructor Certification Program provides a solid foundation in the art and science of teaching inspiring, safe, therapeutic, and emotionally supportive adult yoga classes. It’s also an opportunity to deepen your practice with expert instruction in yoga philosophy and psychology, mindfulness, pranayama, anatomy, the bio-mechanics of alignment, and rehabilitative processes.

After you complete the coursework, you will receive a certificate that qualifies you to apply for a 200-hour registration with Yoga Alliance.  This registration is the standard requirement for teaching adult yoga classes at yoga studios and other venues.

The 9 month Yoga Calm Immersion provides 144 contact hours of core curriculum toward the Yoga Alliance's 180 contact hour requirement for their RYT registration designation. The remaining 36 contact hours can be compiled from completion of any of the following in-person Yoga Calm courses: Youth Instructor Certification (Wellness 1-3 & Practicum), Tension/Trauma Releasing Exercises, MBSR, Yoga Calm for Therapists, and Yoga Therapeutics with Jim Gillen.

This training will provide you with the skills to teach safe, simple, therapeutic and emotionally supportive adult yoga classes. (Students not working on an RYT-200 teaching certificate may also take the program to deepen and refine their practice.)
