"Stories of an Evolving Food System" is the theme for the 2019 15th Annual Grain Growers Conference (view detailed flyer). Join us to hear from Steve Taylor is a farmer, newspaperman, and longtime public official from New Hampshire and will be our keynote speaker. Steve served 25 years as New Hampshire's commissioner of agriculture and he is a lifelong scholar of rural issues and culture, on which he writes and speaks frequently.

Jennifer Lapidus, founder to Carolina Ground, will also join us from North Carolina. Launched in 2012, Carolina Ground provides a niche market for large scale organic Southern growers. Jennifer understands and will share her experiences with the challenges of producing grains and transforming regionally grown grains into high quality grain and sifted cold stone milled flours.

At the conference, get to know what local opportunities are available for grain growers by meeting local buyers in the region. Presentations will include rice cultivation, round table buyers discussion. cover crops, growing spelt, rye variety testing results, pollinators, and much more including hands-on baking sessions! A detailed brochure and agenda will be posted soon.

Conference registration is $75 per person and $50 per NGGA member. Please register by March 22, 2019.
