The National American Indian Court Judges Association (NAICJA) hopes that you will join us for the 50th Annual National Tribal Judicial and Court Personnel Conference.  This year's theme is "Reflecting on our Past, Building for Our Future: NAICJA at 50".  The conference will provide quality culturally-appropriate continuing legal education to more than 300 tribal judges, peacemakers and court personnel.

Participants will learn about major recent court decisions and legislation as well as emerging practices that improve the quality of tribal justice administration while maintaining fidelity to tribal traditions, customs and values. Conference attendees will also have the opportunity to network with and learn from their tribal court peers.

Court Clerk I Training and Certification:
For beginner court clerks just starting out or more experienced court clerks looking to refresh their knowledge.

Center for Court Innovation Domestic Violence Workshop:
“Dynamics, Contexts and Practices: A Domestic Violence Workshop for Tribal Court Judges and Staff”In this full-day pre-conference institute, participants will learn about the dynamics of domestic violence; the historical, cultural and legal contexts of violence against Native women; and practice implications for tribal court response to domestic violence through a series of brief lectures and interactive exercises. The facilitators will also assist participants in developing individualized action plans for strengthening their tribal court’s response to domestic violence in accordance with their community and justice system’s unique strengths, needs and resources.
