The focus of the conference is to provide an update in the management of transgender and gender non-conforming patients with an audience that includes MD/DOs, NPs, PAs and allied health professionals.  The goal of the course is to have participants leave with a skill set that will improve their competence, performance and patient outcomes in the practice of transgender health.

Registration: Physicians: $125.00
Allied Health Professionals: $100.00
Fellows and residents: $75.00

Participants will have the opportunity to attend 12 lectures and participate in an hour long interactive breakout session. Breakfast, snacks, and lunch will be provided.  Registration will close on September 27th.

Learning Objectives:
  • Provide context regarding gender-diverse children and youth ​
  • Be aware of medical options for transgender youth and the risks and benefits of intervention ​​
  • Summarize the benefits of potential adverse effects of gender-affirming hormone therapy (GAHT) in adults.​
  • Be familiar with the common psychosocial stressors transgender individuals experience in every day life and in seeking healthcare​
  • Understand the criteria for diagnosing Gender Dysphoria​​
  • Understand the WPATH recommendations for writing letters of support for gender-affirming treatment, including surgery​
  • Be aware of the primary care needs of transgender patients​
  • Be familiar with the basics of gender-affirming surgery options as well as appreciate the options and limitations in fertility preservation

Cancellation: A refund of the registration fees will be allowed when requested in writing and postmarked no later than Friday September 24, 2019. No refunds will be granted after this date or for non-attendance.  The conference committee reserves the right to cancel this conference due to an unforeseen circumstance and will be responsible to refund registration fees only.
