In November, AAAED's Professional Development and Training Institute (PDTI) is offering its Basic Certified Professional Affirmative Action Professional (CAAP) Program and the New Federal Civil Rights Programs Course

The Basic CAAP Program is open to all applicants. This program has an emphasis on the fundamental responsibilities of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action Professionals. The Basic CAAP Program provides 48 hours of instruction in three substantive areas: Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Law; Developing and Implementing an Affirmative Action Program; and Complaint Processing, Counseling and Resolution.

The American Association for Access, Equity and Diversity’s Professional Development and Training Institute (PDTI) is offering a new course entitled “Civil Rights Investigations Under Title VI, Title IX and Section 504.”  The course will cover the laws, policies and investigative strategies for compliance with the three laws that require nondiscrimination in programs or activities receiving federal financial assistance.  This is a sixteen (16) hour program.


I. CERTIFIED AFFIRMATIVE ACTION PROFESSIONAL (CAAP) PROGRAM

Twenty Percent Member Discount Available for the CAAP Courses:  CODE AAAAPDTI.  One Year Free individual AAAED Membership for nonmembers who complete the six-day program.

Registrants may work towards the completion of the Certified Affirmative Action Professional (CAAP) credential by registering for one, two or all three of the following courses:: 


November 18  - 19, 2019 Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Law (16 hrs.)  
November 20 - 21, 2019  - Developing and Implementing an Affirmative Action Program (16 hrs.)
November 22 -23, 2019 - Complaint Processing, Counseling and Resolution (16 hrs.)

$ 1080 (for each 16-hour course) 

Non-Members:
$1170 (includes a one-year individual membership (for each 16-hour course) 

Regular and Onsite Registration Tuition
Onsite Registration accepted if space remains available

AAAED Members:

$1180 (for each 16-hour course) 

Non-Members:
$1270 (includes a one-year individual membership) (for each 16-hour course)

If you wish to attend the entire six-day course schedule to receive the CAAP, the charge is the 16 hour rate times three.


II. FEDERAL CIVIL RIGHTS PROGRAMS: TITLE VI, TITLE IX AND SECTION 504

Civil Rights Investigations Under Title VI, Title IX and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973

The American Association for Access, Equity and Diversity’s Professional Development and Training Institute (PDTI) is offering a new course entitled “Civil Rights Investigations Under Title VI, Title IX and Section 504.”  The course will cover the laws, policies and investigative strategies for compliance with the three laws that require nondiscrimination in programs or activities receiving federal financial assistance.  This is a sixteen (16) hour program.

Who Should Attend: Equal Opportunity Professionals, Diversity and Inclusion Professionals, Title VI Coordinators, Title IX Coordinators, Section 504 Coordinators from organizations/institutions receiving federal financial assistance in education, housing, transportation, municipalities (police, fire, emergency, public works), departments of corrections, hospitals; legal advisors, consultants, et al.

Substitution Policy: Substitutions of registrants for the Institute may be made at any time, but must be made in writing and submitted to AAAED. However, ONLY THE ATTENDEE will receive course credit for Institute training.

Cancellation Policy: ALL Institute cancellations made by the attendee are subject to a 30% service charge and must be received in writing no later than 21 business days prior to the event.  Registrants who do not cancel in writing prior to 21 days before the event will forfeit the entire fee. Cancellations received within 21 business days of the Institute will not be eligible for a refund.
