2 Day Foundation Workshop 

Tuesday and Wednesday, October 15 & 16, 2019

Intended Audience:  Any staff having direct or ancillary contact with aging adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities who are at risk for or who have developed dementia including, but not limited to: DSPs, Behavior Analysts, Adult Day Staff, Nurses, Psychologists, OT/PT/Speech/Activity Staff, Physicians, Administrative and Supervisory Staff, Program Managers, Case Workers, Quality Improvement Staff.

This interactive and engaging workshop includes sessions on:

3 Day "Train-the-Trainer" Workshop

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, October 15, 16 & 17, 2019
9:00 am to 4:30 pm

This workshop is for those wishing to become an "Affiliated NTG Regional Trainer." The first two days of the workshop are comprised of the 2 Day Foundation Workshop as described above. A third day is devoted to understanding and delivering the full NTG Dementia Capable Care Curriculum for those interested in becoming NTG Affiliated Regional Trainers.

NTG Affiliated Regional Trainers are authorized to use NTG branded and copyrighted training materials to train within their own agency or organization or to conduct training for outside agencies and organizations.  

Affiliated trainers become part of the NTG's national Affiliated Trainer network and have access to greatly expanded topic modules and training materials, trainer manual, free monthly NTG continuing education webinars, and are mentored by NTG Master Trainers.

New Affiliated Trainers based in Connecticut will be expected to complete a survey on the ways in which they are using the training resources and participate on calls of the CT ID-AD stakeholder network three times a year.  For more information contact Erica DeFrancesco at
