Conference Purpose:  This conference will engage participants to arrive at shared understandings of how different assets in the region assist and support one another. And we will explore the relationship between capacity building and the promotion and development of assets.  Regional assets are key building blocks in sustainable regional revitalization efforts.  Assets may include a skilled workforce, vital community organizations, the resources of public, private and non-profit institutions and the physical and economic resources of localities.  Among the numerous lenses through which we can view regional assets are tourism, education, entrepreneurship, arts and culture, natural resources, agriculture and history, and we emphasize these and others in this conference.
