Course Description

Make your community event, festival, or small business meeting more sustainable. Environmentally responsible events are not only good for the earth; they’re good for business. Planning or supplying a green event can give you a competitive edge, but most importantly give you the opportunity to lead by example. Discover tips, tools, and resources to make environmentally responsible choices for your event. Several topics will be covered including transportation, food choices, promotion options, and waste. Evaluate several case studies including the nationally recognized MREA Energy Fair. This is a “working” full-day workshop. Participants in this workshop are expected to have an existing event in mind so you can create a complete green event strategy. Learn how to plan the entire event with true sustainability in mind.
