Program Description

This 8 week, web-based program is designed to help your company maximize the business value of upgrading your Oracle eAM system to Release 12.x.   The course begins with an overview of how to prepare your organization for the upgrade, how to plan our upgrade project and how to avoid the common pitfalls of an upgrade.   Then in-depth training is provided to give you a thorough understanding of all of the new functionality that is offered in 12.06, 12.1.1, 12.1.2 and 12.1.3.  No matter which version you are moving to, a good understanding of all the new functionality available is important to your long-term success with Oracle eAM.  Experienced instructors will explain and demonstrate how the new functionality supports and improves maintenance and reliability processes and practices.  Guided exercises and discussion sessions will help your company develop detailed strategies and action plans to make best use of each new capability.  By the end of this course you will have a clear plan for your upgrade as well as the knowledge and skills to execute your plan.

Program Format

This 8 week program will take place in a “Virtual Classroom” right on your desktop.   Each week will include a live Web-Lecture, carefully designed Lab Exercises and a live interactive Web-Discussion.  The 90 minute Web-Lecture will provide guidance on your upgrade project and explain the new capabilities of Oracle eAM R12 within the context of the underlying science, engineering and business of maintenance and reliability management.  The Lab Exercises allow you to explore your current business practices, gain valuable hands-on experience with new features and guide your through the decisions and options for implementing these new capabilities.  The interactive Web-Discussions then provide a forum for solving problems, getting expert opinions on your upgrade plans and learning from your peers in other companies.  Instructors for this program are recognized experts in both maintenance and Oracle eAM.  The web-based format and unique course design enables busy professionals to gain valuable knowledge and map out plans without interrupting their other responsibilities. By dedicating just a few hours per week you and your company will achieve real and sustainable progress towards maximizing your use and ROI of Oracle eAM Release 12.x.

Who Should Attend?

This course is designed for the key people that define and manage maintenance processes and practices, maintenance data and the use of your Oracle eAM solution.  Ideally a cross-functional team of several people from your company should attend so that the resulting knowledge, decisions and action plans will represent a consensus of opinions and ideas.  Ideal participants would have roles such as Maintenance and/or Reliability Manager/Supervisor, Maintenance Planner/Scheduler, Maintenance Information Manager/Administrator, IT Systems Analyst, Oracle Applications Manager or System Administrator, Oracle eAM Super User, etc.
