Meeting of the Minds Dementia Conference 2012 is the premier conference for persons with dementia, families, friends and professionals. The Alzheimer's Association and Mayo Clinic invite you to join us for this day of inspiration and information.

Please take a moment to read each page during your registration process to ensure things are done correctly and that all necessary information is provided.
It is also a good idea to allow enough time to complete the entire registration at one time.

St. Patrick's Day in downtown St. Paul will be a busy day and could impact on parking availability. Please plan accordingly.

When you begin online registration, you will be asked to select a registrant type:

This registrant type is for people attending the conference in a professional capacity. By selecting this type you will receive a certificate of attendance upon completion of the conference. Professionals also have the option to receive group discounts for registrations of five or more staff from one organization.

Group discounts available for professionals:
When 5 or more professionals register from the same company/organization, a discount of $20 is applied to each registration. To take advantage of this discount professionals must register together by selecting "add another person" during the registration process. After all members of the group have been registered the, fees for all registrants in the group will be added together and charged to the credit card of the first person in the group. If different members of the group are paying individually (for example with different credit cards), you must create separate registrations for each and the group discount will not apply.

This registration type is for care partners, family members and friends of people with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) or dementia. Those registering as Family/Friend/Student will not receive a certificate of attendance upon completion of the conference. If you are attending the conference with a person with MCI or early dementia please register as Person Accompanying Person With MCI or Early Dementia registration type (see description below).

Person with MCI or Early Dementia

Please be aware that people selecting this type must be able to stay interested and focused for an hour at a time; verbally communicate thoughts, feelings or needs; be comfortable in social situations about their disease; have insight about their disease and attend sessions without their carepartner. If registering as a person with MCI or early dementia, attendee will automatically be placed in the Living Well Workshop.

Person Accompanying Person with MCI or Early Dementia
This registration type is for carepartners, family members and friends who are accompanying a person with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) or early dementia to the conference. Respite care is not provided at the conference and the person you are accompanying must meet the criteria listed in

An increasing number of people are being diagnosed with MCI and very early Alzheimer’s disease or related disorders. Research suggests that early diagnosis and early intervention may slow the progression of symptoms and increase quality of life. Many people with memory loss ask, “What do I do now? How do I live my life with this? How do I fight back?”

This workshop will explore techniques for living well with memory loss from experts in the field, including people with MCI and early Alzheimer’s disease. You’ll learn new things, meet new people, and walk away inspired.

Please note that the conference does not provide respite care in the RiverView Retreat* room or at any other location for people with dementia.

*RiverView Retreat is a room set aside throughout the day for people with MCI or early dementia and their families or friends who may need a quiet break.
