Driving forces for increased efficiency have influenced how we execute programs, to include systems engineering policy, processes/practices, and people. The CSAF Vector “Recapture Acquisition Excellence” states that: “Improved acquisition performance begins with experienced professionals, using the right analytic tools and processes, all supported by transparent decision-making”.  To support this vision, Headquarters Air Force Materiel Command Engineering & Technical Management Directorate (HQ AFMC/EN), in partnership with the office of the Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition and Management (SAF/AQR) and the Air Force Center for Systems Engineering (CSE), is hosting the 2011 Air Force Systems Engineering Conference.  The activities of the conference will be centered on the theme: Systems Engineering:  Supporting acquisition decision-making executed by experienced professionals using the right tools and processes.  Daily focus areas will include: Policy, Process/Practice, and People.

Purpose
The goals for this conference include:

  • Communicate ongoing changes & improvements to SE related areas
  • Facilitate dialog on important SE topics
  • Promote greater involvement with PM/PEOs and Industry

 


Audience
The target audience for the 2011 AF SE Conference is composed of DoD, Air Force and industry acquisition professionals who are interested in improving acquisition performance through improvements in Systems Engineering processes and practices.
