Training Week Details 
The 2012 Department of Defense Small Business Training Week is open to all Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition personnel including program managers, contracting professionals and small business specialists.  It is open to other Federal small business professionals by prior arrangement only. The Department of Defense recognizes that small business specialists are vital to maintaining the critical role which small business plays in meeting the DoD's mission.  

The Small Business Training Week will capture the current commitment by the White House to America's small businesses and the acquisition professionals who support them.  Members of the Defense Acquisition Workforce will receive 8 continuous learning points (CLP) that can be applied toward fulfilling continuous learning requirements.  All attendees will need to complete the post event survey to receive the certificate of completion.

CON260B - The Small Business Program, Part B - REGISTRATION CLOSED
CON260B will be offered on Monday, May 14 and Tuesday, May 15, 2012.   Attendance is required on both days.  A follow-on course to CON260A, this course focuses on developing the skills and knowledge necessary for a small business specialist. Associated programs and initiatives that support the program and DoD’s efforts to improve small business participation in both prime contracting and subcontracting will also be reviewed, with particular attention to the small business specialist’s role as a vital member of the acquisition team. 

Completion of CON260A is a prerequisite and a certificate of completion will be required in advance of attending this session.  The CON260A certificate of completion may be uploaded with your registration, faxed to 703-637-9882 or emailed to OSBPConference@triumph-enterprises.com.  Attendance is limited for this session and will be made available on a first come, first served basis.  A wait list will be implemented once this session is filled to capacity. 

2012 DoD Small Business Recognition Ceremony and Awards Dinner Reception
On the evening of Thursday, May 17, Small Business Leaders who have made a significant contribution to DoD Small Business Programs will be recognized at the DoD Small Business Recognition Ceremony.  Award recipients will NOT receive advance notification of their award and awards will NOT be announced in advance of this event.  The dinner reception is included in the conference registration fee.  The dress code for the reception is semi-formal.
