Although dosimetrists spend most of our time generating excellent treatment plans, we realize there are other areas of interest to the experienced medical dosimetrist.  More than 35 credit hours approved by MDCB and valid for ARRT Category A may be earned by attending this conference. CONTINUING EDUCATION PROGRAM OBJECTIVES:

  1. Review basic knowledge of therapeutic radiation therapy
  2. Conduct sessions describing the current ‘state of the art’ technologies and standards of practice
  3. Review and explore existing treatment planning software tools
  4. Provide peer interaction, encouraging the exchange of information and concepts

MEDICAL PHYSICS CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS

  • AAMD has applied to the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Education Programs, Inc. (CAMPEP) for MPCEC credit.
  • The agenda and the number of credits an individual could earn for participating at the meeting will be found on the AAMD website .  http://www.medicaldosimetry.org/meetings/annual.cfm (approvals pending)
  • In order to obtain credits, attendees must complete the evaluation form.


THE AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF MEDICAL DOSIMETRISTS Educational Sessions will take place from June 10-14, 2012.  Exhibits will be open from June 10-12, 2012.

  • MEETING REGISTRATIONS;
    Full payment is due at the time of registration. If paying by credit card, your registration will be complete and you will be sent a confirmation notice immediately. If paying by check, your check must be received within 14 days of registration. Checks should be made payable to AAMD and mailed to: AAMD c/o Steele Meetings, Inc., 6346-65 Lantana Rd Suite 117 Lake Worth, FL 33463.  Member registrations are subject to confirmation.  Meeting registrations by credit card will be confirmed until June 9, 2012. Check payments must be received prior to May 25, 2012. All other late registrations must be made at the conference.  All hotel reservations must be made directly with the hotel, identified as part of the AAMD group and can be easily accessed through the link under "Lodging" on this site.  The group rate for single or double occupancy is $179.00 per night, plus tax.  Hotel reservations may be made at the group rate between the dates of June 4-17, 2012 for those attendees who may wish to extend their stay in Atlanta, GA.  Hotel rooms requested after May 18, 2012 can be confirmed based on availability only directly with the hotel.
