PG&E Solar Schools Workshop
The PG&E Solar Schools Program and the NEED Project are excited to announce the upcoming PG&E Solar Schools Workshop at The Lodge at Blue Lake on April 21, 2012. Classroom teachers (K-12) have the unique opportunity to learn about solar energy in a fun and exciting way! Directions will be sent with registration confirmation.
Thanks to PG&E’s sponsorship, there is no cost to attend the workshop. A $100.00 stipend will be offered for attending K-12 educators. Breakfast and lunch are included!
The NEED Project’s mission is to promote an energy conscious and educated society. NEED is the nation’s leading provider of energy education programs and materials to schools. All NEED learning activities are correlated to California science objectives and many others. The program will make teaching energy fun and exciting as you return to your classroom. Participation in this workshop provides educators with free NEED Science of Energy Kit that teaches the concepts of force, motion, light, sound, heat, electricity, magnetism and energy transformations through hands-on activities. Educators will also receive a grade-level specific NEED Solar Energy Hands-on kit. Additional curriculum materials to teach about energy and energy resources will be provided.
