“International World Water Day is held annually on March 22 as a means of focusing attention on the importance of freshwater and advocating for the sustainable management of freshwater resources” (

The Canadian Water Resources Association ( and Engineers without Borders ( are partnering to organize a day of discussion to celebrate World Water Day 2012. This year’s theme “Water and Food Security” will be addressed through a variety of speakers and presentations that will highlight the importance of the management of our freshwater resources.
