2012 CTA Presidents Conference Incentive Grants
Application Deadline extended to Monday, May 7, 2012 at 5:00pm

For each of its statewide conferences, CTA provides grants to assist chapters in being able to send participants at a reduced expense to the local chapter. There are a variety of grants available for the Presidents Conference. Each grant pays the conference fee (which includes materials, meals and housing based on two conference participants sharing a room) and transportation (based on the most economical coach roundtrip airfare based on a 21-day advance purchase or mileage reimbursed at the rate of 55.5 cents per mile not to exceed the cost of the most economical coach airfare). Reimbursement does not include the cost of any airport parking expenses or travel between home and the local airport unless the roundtrip distance between your home and nearest airport is more than 100 miles.

CTA provides four types of grants for Presidents Conference participants:

Small Chapter Grants
Nine grants are available for the president or designee from chapters with a unit size of 50 or fewer and six grants for the president or designee from chapters with a unit size of 51 to 100.

Twelve Minority Incentive Grants
Minority Incentive Grants are provided to members belonging to one of the following racial-ethnic groups: African American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Hispanic and Pacific Asian American.

Twenty First Time Chapter Participation Grants
The grant applications must be completed by the chapter president or with the full knowledge and permission of the chapter president. You will need to provide your chapter president’s name and email address, as well as the chapter mailing address and phone number when you apply.

Twenty New Presidents Grants (chapters of 1,000 or fewer)
This grant pays for 50% of the shared housing fee which equals $200 of the $400 fee.

The grant applications must be completed by the chapter president or with the full knowledge and permission of the chapter president. You will need to provide your chapter president’s name and email address, as well as the chapter mailing address and phone number when you apply. Deadline for grant application is May 4, 2012.

No need to fill out multiple applications. By completely filling out all the information in the following application, you will assure that you will be considered for any and all grant types for which you are qualified.

IMPORTANT: If you awarded a grant, you will be expected to attend. If you receive a grant, but do not attend, you will be keeping another deserving member from this benefit. Please check the dates of the Presidents Conference, July 23-26, 2012 and be certain that your schedule will allow you to attend.
