ABOUT THE FORUM
As one of the U.S.’ thought leaders on intelligence analysis, and an innovative research institution on intelligence analysis best practices, Mercyhurst College has embarked on a number of outreach initiatives to capture best practices in the intelligence community. Toward that end, Mercyhurst hosts an annual forum in Dungarvan, Ireland, focusing on key intelligence issues from a global perspective.
Intelligence Informed Decision Making to Build a More Secure Future
The Global Intelligence Forum intends to continue down the path of intelligence innovation and discovery we embarked on in July 2010. Then, we began by exploring the nature of analysis and its application in various intelligence professions. Later, in 2011 and 2013, we discussed the interaction between the intelligence analyst/practitioner and the decision-maker. In July 2015 we hope to continue to build bridges between practitioners and scholars in the fields of public health, hospitality/food security, higher education and intelligence related professions, and discuss emerging 21st century intelligence and data management best practices to inform decision making. A sub question to be addressed will be “what will leaders in both the public and private sector need and expect in the way of intelligence to make more effective decisions?”
