First Nations Development Institute’s 35th Anniversary Southwest Tour
Sunday, September 13, 2015 - Friday, September 18, 2015

Local guide and First Nations Trustee Benny Shendo, Jr. (Jemez Pueblo) will personally escort you on a special journey to experience the spirit of Indian Country through this once-in-a-lifetime tour.  You’ll see first-hand how First Nations Development Institute (First Nations) is supporting homegrown solutions to community needs. Visit the many successful projects funded by First Nations and see how your investment is making a real impact in Native communities.

You will visit the American Indian Pueblos of Cochiti, Nambé and Pojoaque, plus many other innovative projects.  Meet the people who are working to inspire, educate and continue the rich cultures and traditions of the Indigenous people of the Southwest.

First Nations has funded more than 1,000 grassroots projects in Native American communities over the last two decades.  We invite you to join local experts and community leaders as they share their work related to sustainable farming initiatives, leadership development, language and cultural revitalization efforts - creating a stronger, healthier future for American Indian communities and so much more.  You will have the opportunity to learn more about the innovative solutions created at the grassroots level to address the health, economic and other challenges tribal communities are facing that result in real and lasting change.
