The COPA Training Foundation organizes recurrent training with Cirrus-specific flight and ground instruction during a weekend of socializing with like-minded Cirrus owners and their partners.  Many members choose to make CPPP a key part of their annual or biannual training.

Typical CPPP Weekend Event

The CPPP weekend offers participants a selection of 29 ground courses, optional flight instruction segments with some of the most experienced Cirrus instructors, a Partner-in-Command program, and all meals including a Friday night welcome reception and a Saturday night dinner.  For complete ground course descriptions, please see the Ground Course Descriptions tab.  Not all ground courses are offered at each event.  Specific ground courses are detailed in the individual event registration.

The CPPP offers a Partner-in-Command course on Saturday morning. The PIC course has received rave reviews from partners who leave better prepared to survive an emergency and help their flying partner. Many CPPP participants wish they had invited their partners because of the positive impact on their partners.  For additional information on the PIC course, click HERE

FAA Wings Credit and Insurance Requirements

CPPP weekend recurrent training qualifies for FAA Wings credit.  It is possible to obtain sufficient credits so that you will not need to accomplish a flight review.  And CPPP flight training qualifies for discounts on some aircraft insurance policies and satisfies the recurrent training requirements on others.

Flight participants must supply their own aircraft and provide COPA Training Foundation with a Certificate of Insurance (see the Insurance tab above for details).

This registration site will help you register yourself, or group, with your non-pilot partner and others sharing your aircraft.  For each person, you will be asked to select one of three participation choices: flight+ground instruction, ground-only instruction, or non-pilot partner.   Non-Owner CFIs are offered a heavily discounted rate to encourage instructor participation.  This category is for NON-owner flight instructors only.

You will be asked for information about the participant, the aircraft configuration and flight experience.  Flight + Ground participants will be asked to choose a flight group based on their level of experience and the desired ground courses.
