Our lives can feel so filled with noise that we may find it hard to hear that which underlies it all—what Jewish tradition calls the kol d’mama daka, the still, small voice. Join Institute for Jewish Spirituality Rabbis Jonathan Slater, Lisa Goldstein, and Jordan Bendat-Appell for a Shabbat of contemplative silence and prayerful reflection.
From Friday afternoon through Sunday morning we will share periods of sitting and walking meditation, of contemplative Shabbat prayer and teaching. The emphasis will be on sustained mindfulness meditation throughout the weekend, helping us hear the still, small voice.
Instructions will be given for those who are new to this practice, and those with an established practice will find the spaciousness and support invaluable to deepening their experience.
Give yourself the gift of a truly restorative Shabbat, in the beauty of western Connecticut.
The retreat will begin at 4:00pm on Friday (registration will be from 2:30-4pm). We will end on Sunday morning at 12pm (box lunches will be available).
Retreat Fee (sliding scale according to ability): $455, $490, or $525 (all single rooms).
Cancellation Policy: There will be no refunds for cancellations within two weeks of the start of the retreat. Any cancellations before that time will be refunded the full amount, minus a $100 processing fee.
