This retreat is designed for graduates of the Kivvun program, their friends and family members, prospective participants in future Kivvun cohorts, and those interested in exploring the Institute for Jewish Spirituality.

Hosted at the beautiful Menla Mountain Retreat in Phoenicia, NY, this retreat will provide opportunities for Jewish study and prayer, instruction and practice of both mindfulness meditation and embodied awareness, new and renewed spiritual friendships, free time to be in nature and gourmet kosher dining.

Internationally renown author and teacher, Rabbi Arthur Green, Ph.D will be our guest scholar, exploring with us the deep wisdom of his latest book, Radical Judaism. Participants will be asked to read the book in advance of the retreat, so that we might delve deeply into these important teachings. Rabbi Jonathan Kligler of the Woodstock Jewish Congregation will be leading us in meaningful and accessible prayer practice. With teachings from Institute faculty Rabbis Rachel Cowan, Nancy Flam, and Lisa Goldstein, this retreat promises deep nourishment of body, heart, mind and soul.

Menla Mountain Retreat is nestled in the Catskill Mountains, a 2.5-hour drive from NYC and a 4-hour drive from Boston. Take a peek at: http://menlamountain.org/
