This course is designed to assist growers with understanding how to ensure compliance with traceability requirements to protect consumers, suppliers and their brand.  Participants will also learn how FSMA requirements will impact their operation. 

In addition to an introduction to traceability and product recall and the benefits of having a product ID and traceability system participants will be able to learn how to do the following:

  • Evaluate of current systems and processes in place to determine how to move forward with an effective product ID and traceability system
  • Analyze the appropriate tools in relation to products when creating a product ID and traceability system
  • Carry out the proper steps involved in a recall
  • Differentiate between the challenges of different entities involved in a product recall

An interactive exercise/case study will be used during the second half of the course to reinforce the concepts learned and enable participants to transfer that knowledge and skills to their organization.
