Introduce and educate food manufacturing/processing employees to auditing principles and techniques.  The focus is on internal auditing, an independent, objective activity designed to add value and improve an organization's operations. An internal audit program is required by all of the Global Food Safety Initiative approved standards (BRC, SQF, IFS, FSSC22000, etc.) 


This two day (six hour) webinar provides a full description and details for the design and implementation of a full internal audit program within the food facility.  Content includes identifying and training internal auditors, fundamental audit techniques such as focus area auditing, analyzing and reporting findings and corrective, preventive action planning. 

Intended Learning Outcome:

Learners will take away from this course the following:  The ability to identify internal auditors among their staff members; 2) Design and manage an internal audit program; 3) Analyze and report on the results; 4) Conduct a root cause analysis of non-conformances and identify corrective and preventive actions.

Continuing education units are not awarded for this course. Upon verification of successful completion of learning assessment, including a passing score on the exam, participant will be awarded an NSF Certificate of Achievement in Principles of Internal Auditing.
