Welcome to the 2008 Petroleum Safety Conference in Banff, Alberta, May 6 to 9.
Since we last met in May, much has changed. After 57 years of the Petroleum Industry's Annual Safety Seminar (PIASS), we have now changed the name of the event to the Petroleum Safety Conference. This new name indicates that this is an event that focuses on safety in the petroleum industry, and provides value-added workshops, sessions and networking opportunities.

Though the name has changed, our goal continues to be to provide delegates a dynamic and educational conference.

This year's list of speakers and topics is our best yet! You'll hear from Michael "Pinball" Clemons of the Toronto Argonauts about the importance of teamwork. Dr. Linda Duxbury will talk on capable managers, while Dr. Robert Buckman speaks on communications and team building. Among the pre-conference workshops, Mike Williamsen will conduct workshops on employee feedback and establishing safety accountabilities, while the subject of crisis and conflict will be explored by Dr. Brian Forbes and Gary McDougall.

Don't delay. Register online today.
