Course Description
The labeling and promotion of your Dietary Supplement products are the most visible ways that the Food & Drug Administration and the Federal Trade Commission can track your compliance with federal regulations.  This course will help you to ensure your claims are lawful.  It will also enable you to avoid making implied claims that would result in regulatory enforcement.  Participants will learn how public knowledge of FTC and FDA enforcement actions affect business performance.

Instructor: Norman Howe 
Norman Howe is Sr. Partner of Validation & Compliance Institute (VCI), quality consultants for the pharmaceutical, medical device, and dietary supplement industries.  Their clients include Johnson & Johnson, Sandoz, Bristol Meyers Squibb, Beckman Coulter, Dow Corning, and NSF International among others.  VCI helps companies to comply with FDA regulations by performing the work for the clients, and by teaching seminars on quality compliance. 

Norman has taught a course in Quality Systems as adjunct faculty at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.  He serves as an expert witness in FDA regulated product quality cases.  Before starting with VCI he was the plant manager of a pharmaceutical plant with BASF.  He was responsible for manufacturing, quality assurance, engineering, maintenance, contract manufacturing, and a small product development group.  He also worked as a project manager for several quality compliance upgrade projects around the company.

    Cancellation/Transfer Policy: 
    Substitutions are welcome anytime; however please notify us as soon as possible to make the necessary changes 

    Early Cancellations: More than two weeks, prior to the course date will be issued a refund less a 25% processing charge.

    Late Cancellations: Less than two weeks prior to the course date are not issued a refund

    Program Cancellation:  NSF Health Sciences Dietary Supplement Program reserves the right to cancel or postpone a course due to unforeseen circumstances. Should this occur, you will be notified as soon as possible. All efforts will be made to notify participants at least two weeks before the scheduled events. If NSF Health Sciences Dietary Supplement cancels a course, your entire registration fee will be refunded
