This two-day professional development event brings together artists, show administrators, and those connected to the industry for networking opportunities, learning, discussion, inspiration and more! Join us and enjoy the chance to make new connections and let your voice be heard!

Conference attendees can take advantage of all of the following and more:

  • vital networking opportunities;
  • conversation with artists and show directors to learn about trends and issues affecting the art fair industry;
  • professional development designed to address the unique needs of artists and show directors with a range of budgets and event sizes;
  • participation in open forums and industry think tanks;
  • one-on-one opportunities with ZAPP® staff to learn system features or ask your ZAPP® questions; and
  • the ability to see several art festivals all within driving distance from Boca Raton.

Whether you're a seasoned artist or a brand new show administrator, this conference has content for everyone. Don't just take our word for it! See what some of our past attendees have to say:

"....even though I am an artist, I really learned a lot from the admin track discussions as well."

"As a newbie to the art show world, the conference was packed with valuable information."

"Overall great! I found that as a show director, I wanted to be in some of the artist sessions to learn their perspective."

"I really benefited from this conference.... I came back wishing the conference had been longer so I could continue the conversations and learning taking place."

The 2018 conference affords collaboration opportunities between ZAPP and the National Association of Independent Artists (NAIA). As advocates for artist interests, NAIA has been instrumental in securing a negotiated rate for artist attendees. We're proud to work with the NAIA to offer this exclusive discount to all artists who choose to attend this professional development event.

What is the NAIA?
The NAIA is an organization of artists, art shows, and supporters whose mission is "to strengthen, improve and promote the artistic, professional and economic success of artists who exhibit in art shows." To learn more about the NAIA, visit their website at

The ZAPP® system grew out of a nonprofit partnership between eight major arts festivals and WESTAF. ZAPP® allows artists to apply online to art festivals and allows art festivals to manage their application, administration, and jury processes online. Since its launch in 2004, ZAPP® has become the premier internet art festival tool — serving more than 750 events and 75,000 artists.

WESTAF is a nonprofit arts service organization dedicated to strengthening the financial, organizational, and policy infrastructure of the arts.
WESTAF assists state arts agencies, arts organizations, and artists in their quest to serve diverse audiences, enrich the lives of local communities, and provide access to the arts and arts education for all. Through innovative programming, advocacy, research, technology, and grantmaking, WESTAF encourages the creative advancement and preservation of the arts regionally and through a national network of customers and alliances.

Founded in 1974, WESTAF is located in Denver and governed by a 22-member board of trustees comprised of arts leaders in the West. WESTAF serves the largest constituent territory of the six U.S. regional arts organizations and includes Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawai’i, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.
