                                  JOHN GROBE

John Grobe is an experienced human resources professional with in-depth subject matter knowledge in federal retirement, organizational career development, and outplacement.  His federal career lasted 26 years, and for the last ten years he has consulted with many federal agencies and private sector corporations.  John has delivered hundreds of federal retirement seminars as a federal employee and as a contractor. 

 John wrote Understanding the Federal Retirement Systems, one of the best selling books on federal retirement.  He designed and developed pre-retirement seminars for the Internal Revenue Service's Chicago offices and for four regions of the US Department of Education.

Mr. Grobe is a frequent contributor to Fedsmith on retirement and career issues.  He consistently receives outstanding evaluations for his pre-retirement seminars.

 John has a Bachelor Degree from the University of Illinois (Chicago) and a Master Degree in Industrial Relations from Loyola University of Chicago.  He is an officer of the Association of Career Professionals, International and a former officer of ASTD.
