On April 21, 2009 President Obama signed the bipartisan Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act and ushered in a new era of service. The Act takes effect on October 1, 2009 and charges the Corporation for National and Community Service and its partners with dramatically expanding opportunities for all Americans to serve, focusing on important national outcomes, and serving as a catalyst for social innovation in the nonprofit sector.

 

Implementation of this historic legislation will require the best ideas from around the country. That’s why we want to hear from you.

Share your thoughts on the implementation of the bipartisan Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act through public listening sessions sponsored by the Corporation for National and Community Service.

To reserve a time to speak, there will be a sign-up sheet at each session.  Speakers will go in the order that they sign up.  We want to hear from everyone who wants to speak, so we will limit speaking time to three minutes per speaker.  You are welcome to bring a longer written statement which will be made part of the record.
