2010 Good Teaching Conference-North

The CTA Good Teaching Conferences are designed to support excellent teaching and learning practices for classroom teachers.  Offering a variety of diverse workshops in curriculum content areas for K-12 teachers, the conferences provide opportunities for professional development and offer time to network and share ideas with colleagues and experts in the field.

Registration starts on Friday and the hours are 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a reception (light meal) and dance beginning at 6:00 p.m. There are four workshops beginning on Saturday at 9:15 a.m., and end with Caucus Meetings from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sunday's workshop is scheduled from 8:30-9:45 a.m.; followed by brunch and general session. The conference concludes at 12 noon.

SPECIAL PRESENTATION
Mr. Rob Black, the popular host of television's "Rob Black and Your Money", will be speaking Saturday morning from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.  Please find Rob's bio below:

Rob began his career in media almost fifteen years ago as a business correspondent for Business Talk Radio, which then transpired into the 30 minute, surprise hit, "Stock Talk". On this nationally syndicated show, Rob presented the stories behind the stories on Wall Street, and explained why stocks moved higher or lower. "Stock Talk" was the highest-rated show ever on CNET Radio and delivered a 600% increase in listeners.

You can find Rob on one of three mediums (television, radio, podcast): "Rob Black and Your Money" is televised daily at 4:00 p.m. on Channel 4 KRON in San Francisco, broadcast on radio Monday-Friday at 910AM from 10 a.m. to Noon and via his daily free podcast (found at itunes). Both media outlets provide financial news you can use. Audiences gain valuable information and education about what is happening in the financial world, what it means and how to utilize this education to make better financial decisions.
