Map and Directions

The National Weather Service Climate Services Division, in conjunction with the California Department of Water Resources and the National Integrated Drought Information System will host the 8th Climate Prediction Applications Science Workshop (CPASW) in San Diego, CA, on March 2-4, 2010.

New for CPASW 2010 will be an integrated theme of Managing Water Resources and Drought in a Changing Climate.  Focusing CPASW around a theme provides an open forum to exchange ideas, build mutually beneficial collaborations, and share best practices within specific climate sensitive sectors. The format of the Workshop will differ from previous years in that it will be conducted mostly through panel discussions to foster a more open forum for participants to exchange experiences and perceptions on:

(1)  specific uses of climate data, information and predictions

(2)  best practices in adaptation planning

(3)  available tools and future needs for effective decision support; and

(4)  building collaborative partnerships.

*Please note: We are not doing a call for abstracts. The format of the Workshop will differ from previous years in that it will be conducted mostly through panel discussions.
