THE TRADITIONAL PORTFOLIO REVIEW
with a twist

Portfolio Reviews at this year's conference will operate a little differently than normal, and (for those who are familiar) will be a hybrid of the traditional "Curator's Walk-through" and the more formal, 20-minute Portfolio Review.

SPE members can sign up to be either reviewers, or reviewees, during the checkout process.Time slots for Portfolio Review sessions will be on both FRIDAY and SATURDAY.
9:30 am- 10:20 am
10:30 am- 11:20 am
1:00 pm to 1:50 pm
2:00 pm to 2:50 pm
How it works...
Reviewees will be scheduled for one of the conference's 50 minute time slots, and will have a 3' x 6' table in the Portfolio Review area to display portfolios and talk about one's work. Practice those elevator speeches!

Reviewers will also be scheduled in 50 minute time slots. Participants agree to stay in the portfolio review area the entire time slot, and offer feedback to those who are displaying work.

Each time slot will have 3-4 reviewers/reviewees.

Normally, portfolio reviews are done in 20 minute time slots, one-on-one.  While this does add a healthy level of tension to the review, it may also be somewhat frustrating - as 20 minutes may be too long, or too short. With this new format, conversations may be more organic and fluid.

In addition, other conference goers are free to come by and look at the portfolios at any time.  So, if you sign up for a portfolio review, and you meet someone who you would like to look at your work, you can tell them, "I will be at the portfolio reviews at 1:00, come take a look(!)"
