This Symposium is ideal for the following:
  • GSA Professional Services Schedule contract holders
  • GSA OASIS  and OASIS-SB contract holders
  • GSA HCaTS and HCaTS-SB contract holders
What are the dates of the GSA Professional Services and Human Capital Symposium?

The dates are June 6-8, 2017 and will include plenary sessions, training workshops and networking opportunities that are open to all attendees. 

The Symposium includes three tracks:
  • Industry Workshops - June 6-8, 2017 (open to all Professional Services, OASIS and HCaTS contractors - limited to 2 attendees per contract organization)
  • HCaTS Program Management Review – June 7, 2017 (limited to 2 attendees per HCaTS contract organization)
  • OASIS Program Management Review – June 7-8, 2017 (limited to 2 attendees per OASIS contract organization)

What is the dress code?
Business casual

Do I need my government/military ID?
Federal Government, Military and State and Local employees will be required to show their employee government or active military ID or a government purchase card onsite in registration to pick up your badge and event materials. Vendor will be required to show a Government issued ID.

What are the costs associated with attending the GSA Professional Services & Human Capital Symposium?
Attendance at the GSA Professional Services & Human Capital Symposium is free to all GSA contract holders, federal government, active military and state and local employees. You/your organization/agency is responsible for lodging and travel as necessary.

Registration

How do I register?
You can register online here or by clicking the Register Now button on the right side of this page.    

My company is not currently on the OASIS or HCaTS schedules. Can we attend the OASIS and HCaTS PMRs?
No. The Industry Workshop on June 6-7 is open to all vendors holding the Professional Services Schedule, OASIS and HCaTS contracts and government customers.  However, the OASIS and HCaTS PMR are technical sessions that are limited only to current holders of the OASIS and HCaTS contracts respectively.

I am unable to attend, how do I cancel my registration?
To cancel your registration to attend the event, please reference your registration confirmation. Please go back to your registration confirmation that you received by email and click on the Review, change, or update your registration link. Once you reach your registration, click on Manage Your Registration on the right side of the page. You will then be given the option to cancel. You will receive a confirmation by email stating that your registration is now cancelled.   Alternatively, you may respond to the confirmation email received by email stating that you wish to cancel your registration. You will receive a confirmation email stating that your registration is now cancelled.

Can I change my mind about which breakout sessions I would like to attend after I register?
Yes.  During the registration process you will be asked to select your break-out sessions.  However, registrant break out session selections are used for capacity planning purposes only.  Breakout sessions will be on a first come, first served basis on site.

Registration badges will be available on site at registration in Tacoma. Please remember to bring a government issued photo ID.

Training

Is there a printer friendly version of the training schedule?
To support GSA's sustainability efforts, updated training schedules are viewable on the event website. Signage throughout the Greater Tacoma Convention & Trade Center will also be available to view the training schedule.

How do I register for break out sessions?
When you register to attend the event you can select sessions of interest however this information is used to determine the appropriate size classroom based on attendee input. All classes are filled on a first come, first served basis onsite. A waitlist may be created for sessions that reach capacity prior to the event.

Can any of the GSA Professional Services & Human Capital Symposium training for acquisition professionals be used to maintain certification for Contracting Officers Representatives?
Yes, as long as the course has a CLP Certified designation, participation in the course can earn education credits for COR and COTRs. Check with your agency for specific guidance.

Lodging

What is the approved amount for the lodging at the GSA Professional Services and Human Capital Symposium?
The current government per diem rate allowable for lodging during the time period of the Tacoma WA event is $120.

What hotels are participating with the GSA Professional Services and Human Capital Symposium and can I get a discounted rate?
For the convenience of our vendors and customers, GSA has identified a list of hotels in the vicinity of the Greater Tacoma Convention and Trade Center that are offering per diem rates to government employees and discounted rates to vendors.  These rates are available for up to 3 days before and up to 3 days after the Symposium. A list of hotels and rates can be found under the Lodging tab above. Note that hotels rooms are very limited. Book early.

Transportation

How do I get from my hotel to the conference?
The distance between event hotels and the Greater Tacoma Convention & Trade Center range from 0.3 miles and 16 miles away. Check with your hotel for the best transportation options.

Will you have shuttles from the airport to my hotel?
We are not providing airport shuttles. Please contact your hotel to see if they have a complimentary airport shuttle. Note that Tacoma's Free Link Light Rail runs frequently throughout the downtown corridor with a stop located just outside the Greater Tacoma Convention & Trade Center on Commerce Street.
