FSMA Produce Safety Training


COST: $240
Time: 8:00-5:00


Produce growers, buyers, and other interested in learning about produce safety, the Food Safety Modernization Act (FMSA) Produce Safety Rule, Good Agricultural Practices (GAP's), and co-management of natural resources and food safety should attend this session. 

The U.S. FDA’s Produce Safety rule requires in § 112.22(c) that for each farm, “At least one supervisor or responsible party for your farm must have successfully completed food safety training at least equivalent to that received under standardized curriculum recognized as adequate by the Food and Drug Administration.” The PSA Grower Training Course is one way to satisfy this requirement; it is the only course currently recognized by FDA.

Introductory Grant Writing

Are you new to writing grants? This training is meant for you! Experienced grant writers from CSU, Fresno will address all the key components of grant writing. Experts will address the needs and mission statements, the goals, objectives and activities, and even budgets. Our instructors will discuss the different types of grants, how to search for grants, and identifying grants that will be the best fit for your organization. Half the day will include instruction and the other half will include hands-on breakout sessions to practice the information you learned! If you are an inexperienced grant writer, you won’t want to miss this preconference workshop!
