The historic and beautiful Palazzo Brancaccio is the venue for our Conference Reception and Banquet. Join us for special presentations to the Conference Committee leadership, the Dean of Sapienza University, and an electronic violin performance by Marta Violin. A separate ticket is required for this event for 125€. You may add it to your existing registration or register here. Please plan on taking a taxi or other transportation service to the venue, which is 7 minutes from Sapienza University by car.

Post Conference Tour Options*

Three optional tours are available to conference delegates on the day after the conference, Friday June 8 as follows. A separate fee is required for each and you can only register for one as they run concurrently. Please register for these tours early so we can plan for your participation.

Half-Day Tour of the Christian Catacombs
Friday, 8 June 2018
€50 per person

3-4 hour morning visit (09:00 – 13:00).
Meeting Place - Hall 17
Lunch is not included and this tour gives attendees time to explore Rome on their own in the afternoon. Preliminary half-day tour schedule*

If more than 40 people register all will meet for presentation and a second bus will depart at 10:30 so guided tours are staggered in groups of 30-40 maximum.

Half-Day Technical Site Visit to Rome Metro C

Take a tour of the ongoing construction of this mega project and view the challenges first hand on a guided technical site visit which will describe difficulties the contractors have faced since beginning construction over 20 years ago. Meeting Place: Sapienza University, Hall 8

Full-Day Civita di Bagnoregio Tour CANCELED. Contact events@dfi.org.

Civita di Bagnoregio is a little Middle Eve village, 130 km from Rome, surrounded and isolated by landslides which is why it is nicknamed “The Dying Town.” It is a splendid touching example of ground evolution and of Central Italy’s geology.

The tour will last approximately 6-7 hours, and includes lunch in a panoramic venue and a visit to a little Museum of Landslides managed by a Voluntary Scientific Community.

  • You may register for this Conference using a Visa or MasterCard credit card, PayPal or Wire Transfer.

    To make payment by wire, contact DFI at bookkeeper@dfi.org. For this conference, DFI is unable to accept American Express, Checks or Purchase Orders. Payment must be received prior to the start of this conference. We apologize for the inconvenience.

    If you plan to pay by wire, please register for the conference before requesting a proforma invoice. When you register online, select WIRE PAYMENT. You will not have to pay at the time you register but payment must be received before the start of the conference.

    Prices are in Euros. A 22% IVA (VAT) tax will be added to all Delegate Registration fees except for delegates from Italian businesses with valid Italian VAT #’s. Exhibitor and Sponsorship fees are exempt from IVA (VAT).

    Refunds for Registration will not be issued after Friday, 11 May 2018. However, you may transfer your registration to another delegate.

    Refunds for Exhibit Booths will not be issued after Friday, 6 April 2018. Please refer to your Exhibit Space Agreement for Details.
