CALL FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSIONS

Abstract Submission Deadlines - DUE TO POPULAR DEMAND, THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO JUNE 15, 2018. Please contact stephen.strelkov@ualberta.ca. NOW CLOSED!

The 2018 International CLUBROOT Science Committee is inviting submissions for oral and poster presentations highlighting clubroot research. The aim is to disseminate research results to the broader community and to facilitate interactions and collaboration between the scientific community and members of the canola value-chain.

*** Authors are asked to indicate whether or not they would like their abstract submissions considered for an oral or poster presentation. Those invited to give an oral presentation will be notified by the 2018 International CLUBROOT Workshop Science Committee. Please use the abstract template and e-mail abstracts to Dr. Stephen Strelkov at stephen.strelkov@ualberta.ca with the subject line "Abstract - Clubroot Workshop" by June 1, 2018. 

Abstracts will be published in the Canadian Journal of Plant Pathology. Please note there is a $35 publishing fee for the journal. There is no publication fee if the author does not want the abstract published. Participants must be registered and be in attendance at the dedicated poster session during the Icebreaker Reception. Posters are to remain up for the duration of the event.

Poster Guidelines
  • Posters no larger than 4' X 3'.
  • Participants should arrive in time to assemble their posters for display before the Workshop program begins. Please check-in at the registration desk.
  • Posters will be displayed in the Workshop Poster Display Area which is connected to the meeting room.
  • There is a dedicated poster session on Tuesday, August 7 between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m. during the Icebreaker Reception. Please be prepared to provide a short 3-5 minute summary highlighting key points from the poster and acknowledge and be able to explain why the project was funded and how it is important to the industry. 
  • Collection of the poster at the conclusion of the Workshop is the responsibility of the participant.
