To ensure that space is available to display your boat and attend our activities, pre-registration is recommended. Remember that Festival registration forms must be received by Friday, June 1st, to avoid a $25 late fee.

If you prefer not to register online, you can request a paper copy sent by mail or you can download the registration form at

Walk-in Registrations (on site at the Festival) are welcome but please note:

  • You will be charged an additional fee of $25
  • We cannot guarantee there will be space for your boat(s)
  • Boats registered at the Festival will not be eligible for judging

Registration for one boat up to 25' - displayed either in water or on land - is $40.00. This fee includes admission for the Captain and a 1st Mate. There will be a $12.00 charge per person for additional Crew (By comparison, visitors who don't regster through ACBS will pay the following gate fees to enter through the Museum: $13 for adults, $10 for seniors and military personnel, and $8 for children 12 years and under.)

Non-ACBS members are encouraged to join, although membership is not required to attend the Festival. Registration for Non-members is $110.00.  Early registration is highly encouraged to ensure your participation in any activities and for dock space. Registration packets will be distributed during check-in on Friday (8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.) and on Saturday (8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.) ONLY

If you're bringing a boat...

  • As always, we will accommodate as many boats as possible, but there are a limited number of slips. Please register early to ensure your slip reservation. For more information, contact: Chuck Warner, DockMaster at (443) 250-6030 or via email at 

  • The boat ramp is located on North Harbor Road adjacent to the St. Michaels Harbour Inn & Marina. The Chesapeake Bay is a tidal body of water, so be sure and check the local tide tables in your registration packet to ensure sufficient water depth is available at the ramp for launching. As you enter St. Michaels, watch for the sign "To the ramp", which will be posted at Chew Avenue. Here's a link to the boat ramp's location.

  • Judging will be conducted on Saturday, June 16, according to ACBS guidelines. If your are not familiar with the ACBS Judging criteria and would like more information on the specifics, please contact Chief Judge Scott Wahlberg at (410) 335-2938 or via email:

  • Our "Field of Dreams" offers an opportunity to sell a boat you no longer need or pick up a bargain. Boats as well as motors for sale--along with a nautical flea market--are displayed on the museum grounds near the Steamboat Building. For more information or to reserve space, contact Ray Glenn at (410) 867-7853 or via email at 

  • Storyboards:  Help make the show even more enjoyable by displaying a "storyboard" with your boat. Let people know about the boat's history, current and prior owners, where it was discovered, the restoration process, and any other information you'd like to share. Please include this information on a presentable sign that can be displayed in your boat and read by visitors on the dock.

  • Artists & Vendors:  Pick up your General Registration Package at the artists & vendor tent located just inside the main gate. Any questions can be directed to John Into or Nancy Price at (410) 745-5954 or via email:
